Much like the Nike Air Force 1 Premium HTM designed by Hiroshi Fujiwara of Fragment Design, Vans utilizes croc leather for their upcoming Vault Sk8-Hi LX scheduled to release this Fall. Each Sk8-Hi features a patent croc leather upper making-up the whole base. The three colorways that will be available in the next few months are red, beige and black/white. With these three Sk8-His being composed of premium materials, the sneakers will most likely cost a bit more than the regular Sk8-His when they hit store shelves later this year.
If this was real croc leather, i would be disgusted and couldn't wear these shoes. Why designers think people love snakeskin and other exotic animal skin materials is beyond me. Seriously why would i want to wear an alligator. I guess this is the same reason why i am not a big hunter lol. Okay moving on beyond the croc leather on these Vans Sk8 HI LX the sk8 hi lX is okay looking in all three colorways it comes in, I am not ecstatic about any single one of the colorways. If i HAD to pick one, I would definently go with the red one. Mostly these shoes just strike me as knock off supras.
