I know I have said before that gloss on an all black shoe ruins it but I am willing to make an exception for this one. This shoe looks pretty dang good. I love the vans half cab to begin with and this shoe looks pretty good. I guess that the leather is not technically "glossy" but it is rather polished and refined as opposed to other things it could look like. I really like the cream white on the bottom and sole of the shoe. My main problem with all stars is that the white does not work with the black. That cream though looks awesome. Its just contrasting enough to be striking without being jarring. I just love cream on shoes lol. Why dont more designers use it. Maybe they have a theory that if they use white when the shoe gets dirty it will just turn to cream. I can support that theory. But if you are a serious sneakerhead you are not going to let your sneakers get dirty so its a moot idea. The shoe has like a cool rise to it by the ankle that is pointy without being too pointy.
